Today, the Friends of Anfield have been awarded a £50,300 Resilient Heritage grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Called ‘Lifting the Lids’, a disabled friendly Heritage Trail of twelve information boards will be sited around our 141 acre site. Each will contain research carried out by local young people, who will conduct heritage walks for those interested in Anfield’s / Liverpool’s unique local, national and international history.
Our Project Viability Report was signed off and Friends have been invited, by AHF, to submit an application for their next funding stage. Friends have arranged ‘funding application training’ (from LCVS, to assist us in this process) using our HLF funding.
